It appears (and verified by G1FEF) that the portal has not been getting
proper resolutions from dynamic hosts. When this occurs the portal halts
sending RIP and flags the gateway "inactive". In some cases deleting and
recreating the gateway will refresh the database, in some cases it does not.
There's no just cause or reason for why it's hit or miss but if you find your
block halts routing, email Chris.

FYI: all it takes is for the portal to fail getting DNS resolution *1* time
to flag your entry inactive. Right now he must manually remove it from being
inactive. I've found several gateways in the 10 subnets I coordinate for
getting flagged as inactive. The portal will NOT inform you if it is or not
either. The 'TUNNEL' add-on on my RSBYPI node will let you see if your entry
is valid or not.
