Spectrum, Innovation and the Future: Registrations Open for ACMA RadComms 2026
Date : 09 / 07 / 2026
Author : ACMA
Australia's premier spectrum management conference is back, with the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA)
opening registrations for RadComms 2026. This year's conference, themed "Global challenges, local solutions",
will be held on 25-26 August 2026 at the RACV City Club in Melbourne.
RadComms brings together leaders from government, industry, academia and the radiocommunications sector to explore the
technologies, policies and spectrum management challenges shaping Australia's wireless future.
The conference provides a valuable opportunity to hear directly from ACMA experts, industry innovators and international
speakers while discussing emerging technologies, spectrum sharing, satellite services, critical communications,
wireless innovation and the evolving regulatory landscape.
While RadComms is not specifically an amateur radio event, many of the issues discussed have direct relevance to the
amateur service. Spectrum management, coexistence with other services, satellite communications, interference management
and future spectrum planning all influence the environment in which Australian radio amateurs operate.
Attendance provides an excellent opportunity to better understand the broader spectrum ecosystem and the challenges
facing regulators and spectrum users alike.
